Theorem Aroki Power Lift Recliner Chair

The Theorem Aroki is a premium quad-motor power lift recliner designed for people who want a generous range of powered positioning as well as assistance when standing. Four motors allow the backrest, legrest, headrest and lumbar support to be adjusted independently, so the chair can be fine-tuned rather than relying on a single fixed recline movement.

What sets the Aroki apart within the Theorem range is its combination of lay-flat recline, a two-stage lift mechanism and a powered extending footrest. That makes it particularly appealing where the chair will be used not only for sitting, but also for longer periods of relaxing, reading, watching television or resting with the legs well supported.

The Aroki comes in the Petite and Standard sizes. Both are rated to 158 kg, but the dimensions differ meaningfully: the Petite has a 45.7 cm seat width and depth with a lower 45.7 cm seat-to-floor height, while the Standard increases to a 52 cm seat width and depth with a 50.8 cm seat-to-floor height. Choosing the right size matters for comfort, foot placement and ease of standing.

Independent Powered Positioning

Rather than moving the backrest and legrest together through one fixed sequence, the Aroki allows them to be positioned independently. You can raise the legs without fully reclining the back, recline the back while keeping the legrest lower, then separately adjust the powered headrest and lumbar support.

This flexibility is useful because the preferred position for reading or conversation can be quite different from the position used for watching television or resting. The powered lumbar adjustment changes the amount of support through the lower back, while the powered headrest can be repositioned as the backrest angle changes.

Lay-Flat Recline and Extended Leg Support

The Aroki can recline into a near-flat resting position, with an overall reclined length of approximately 183 cm. Its powered footrest extension provides additional lower-leg support, helping accommodate different leg lengths and allowing the chair to feel more spacious when fully reclined.

Because the chair has a substantial reclined footprint, it is worth checking the available room before purchase. The Aroki should have enough clearance to complete both its lift and recline movements without contacting walls, furniture or other obstacles.

Two-Stage Lift Assistance

The powered lift function raises and tilts the chair forward to assist the transition from sitting toward standing. The Aroki uses a two-stage lift movement, giving it a more progressive rise than a simple recline-only chair.

A lift chair should still be selected to suit the user. Seat height, seat depth, seat width and the person's ability to place their feet securely all affect how useful the rise function will be.
